- Contributing to presales activity and pitches for new work, while building trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders.
- Building deep expertise in one or more technology ecosystems and sharing that knowledge with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Taking ownership of impact assessments for proposed changes and managing delivery risk.
- Ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, observable and cost-optimised.
- Championing the effective and responsible use of AI-assisted engineering tools, keeping up to date with emerging technologies and sharing knowledge across the engineering community.
- Identifying opportunities where AI-powered capabilities, such as LLM integrations or intelligent automation, could add value to client engagements and working with specialist AI teams where required.

- Designing technical solutions that integrate with legacy systems.
- System-to-system integration and interoperability.
- Common design patterns and approaches, such as event-driven architecture, CQRS or Domain-Driven Design.
- Integrating AI-powered features, such as LLM-based assistants or intelligent automation, into existing applications.
- Platform engineering practices, including internal developer platforms, paved-road tooling or self-service infrastructure designed to improve development team productivity.
