We’re partnering with a global technology organisation that builds and operates large-scale, highly specialised computing platforms used by internal engineering teams across multiple mission-critical domains.

Infrastructure here is treated as a first-class engineering discipline. Teams design and run bespoke platforms spanning compute, storage, networking, DNS, and security, supported by extensive automation and internal tooling.

The London-based group you’d be joining sits within a specialist infrastructure engineering function responsible for developing and maintaining core Linux platforms and the automation systems that power them.

They’re now looking to add a senior / VP level Linux Infrastructure Engineer to strengthen their global automation and tools capability.

This is a senior individual contributor role within a deeply technical infrastructure engineering team.

You’ll focus on building and evolving Linux-based platforms alongside the automation that drives server provisioning, configuration, security controls, and fleet management at scale.

The role leans more toward infrastructure engineering with strong automation rather than pure application development.

You’ll collaborate with globally distributed teams and contribute to a suite of internal products that support server build pipelines, firewall tooling, network visibility, and operational insight.

• Build and operate Linux infrastructure platforms at scale
• Develop and maintain automation and tooling (primarily Python)
• Improve server provisioning, configuration management, and lifecycle workflows
• Contribute to internal platforms covering firewalls, security controls, and network visibility
• Work on logging, telemetry, and operational insight tooling
• Partner with compute, storage, networking, and security engineers
• Help improve reliability, scalability, and operability of core platforms
• Influence technical direction through design and architecture discussions

• Practical, hands-on engineer with strong problem-solving skills
