Job description

We are seeking highly motivated Programme Delivery Support Specialists to support operational improvement programmes within various NHS Acute environments across the Midlands. Working as part of a programme team embedded on site, you will provide analysis, reporting, and PMO support to help deliver measurable performance improvements at pace.

There are multiple opportunities, commencing in March for 4 to 5 month contract duration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead analysis of data to provide intelligence and demonstrate performance improvements, including practical use of Microsoft Excel to produce tables and graphs
  • Assist in delivering programme outcomes using established methodologies and tools, including programme trackers, highlight reports, and test-and-learn documentation
  • Provide project support to the programme team and improvement governance meetings as required
  • Track progress against programme phases and project milestones using programme trackers
  • Produce reports and draft slide decks on behalf of the programme team
  • Plan and organise your diary and those of team members to support programme delivery
  • Support adherence to programme governance processes, including regular team huddles and weekly meetings
  • Ensure all activities and milestones are supported by appropriate evidence and stored correctly
  • Build effective relationships with programme teams and client stakeholders, contributing to discussions and meetings
  • Undertake administrative duties to support the programme and wider team
  • Respond in a timely manner to ad-hoc requests for information or documentation

Requirements

  • Essential: Experience of operational improvement programmes within NHS Acute environments
  • Excellent team-working skills, with the ability to work both collaboratively and independently
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including producing clear presentations
  • Experience analysing data to support improvement initiatives
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong organisational skills, including diary management
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet strict deadlines, and operate autonomously when required
  • Adaptability and resilience to changing pressures and priorities
  • Willingness to work on client sites approximately 80% of the time (depending on programme needs)
