About The Role Peaple Talent is currently partnering with a distinguished professional services firm to recruit a Backend Developer for a 12-month fixed-term contract in London. This pivotal role involves contributing to a significant project aimed at transforming the client’s finance system from an on-premise setup to a cloud-based platform.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing system integrations that facilitate seamless data flow across multiple platforms. This position requires a hands-on approach to integration development, effective stakeholder communication, and strict adherence to security and technical standards.

The Backend

Developer will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Data Engineering and Systems Development, to ensure the successful delivery of enterprise-level solutions that align with organizational goals and best practices.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in building integrations within large-scale enterprise environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a critical thinking approach.
• Deep understanding of Azure Service Bus, including topics, queues, and relays.
• Proficiency in developing Function Apps using Python for system connectivity and automation.
• Hands-on experience with Logic Apps to automate workflows and integrate applications.
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft technologies such as Azure and SQL Server.
• Experience with data mapping, validation, and transformation techniques.
• Ability to design and manage APIs, especially REST and SOAP protocols.
• Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders, developers, and project managers.
• Relevant certifications or training in Azure, Python development, or enterprise integration patterns are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust system integrations utilizing Azure Service Bus, Logic Apps, and related tools to ensure efficient data exchange across platforms.
• Create and manage Python-based Function Apps to support various system integration needs.
• Collaborate with the project manager and stakeholders to define technical requirements and ensure alignment with organizational standards.
• Support the Senior Systems Developer in data migration activities, depending on workload and project priorities.
• Develop comprehensive technical documentation for all integration components, processes, and workflows.
• Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with organizational policies during all development activities.
• Identify potential risks in integration projects and work proactively to mitigate them.
• Contribute to architecture discussions and assist in designing scalable, enterprise-level integration solutions.
• Participate in team knowledge-sharing sessions to enhance collective expertise and build sustainable capabilities.
• Ensure timely delivery of all integration work, maintaining high quality standards and adherence to project deadlines.
