About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Python Developer to join a dynamic Digital Transformation Consultancy supporting a significant project within the Public Sector. This is a contract position for six months, with the possibility of extension, aimed at delivering critical technological solutions for healthcare and NHS-related initiatives. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing serverless applications using AWS technologies, ensuring system robustness, scalability, and security.

This role requires a proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage stakeholder expectations effectively. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Python development, with hands-on experience working within AWS environments, particularly with serverless architectures. Proven expertise in AWS Lambda, StepFunctions, and DynamoDB is essential. Familiarity with PySpark and Databricks is highly desirable, demonstrating versatility in data processing and analytics.

Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication skills, leadership qualities, and experience managing stakeholder relationships. A background in the healthcare or NHS sector is critical, as understanding the specific challenges and regulatory requirements in this domain will be advantageous. A relevant degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred, along with professional certifications in AWS or Python development.
