We're working with a global financial institution that is investing heavily in the transformation of its trading and operations technology landscape. This is an exciting opportunity for a Python Developer to join a high-performing technology team responsible for delivering critical solutions across Liquidity Risk, Asset Traceability, and Client Asset Segregation.

You'll be joining a collaborative, Agile engineering environment where software quality, continuous improvement, and technical excellence are at the heart of everything they do. The team is moving toward highly agile, cross-functional delivery models and is looking for engineers who enjoy solving complex problems, driving change, and working closely with the business.

What You'll Be Doing

• Designing, developing and delivering Python-based applications and services
• Working closely with Business Analysts and stakeholders to define requirements and technical solutions
• Contributing to functional and technical design discussions
• Writing high-quality, well-tested code using modern engineering practices
• Supporting Test-Driven Development (TDD), automated testing and continuous integration processes
• Building strong relationships across technology and business teams
• Mentoring and supporting less experienced developers through knowledge sharing and best practices

What We're Looking For

• Strong commercial Python development experience
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles and design patterns
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with TDD, BDD and automated testing frameworks
• Object-Oriented Programming experience (Java, C#, C++ or similar is beneficial)
• SQL knowledge is advantageous
• Previous financial services experience is beneficial
• Investment Banking, Securities, Middle Office or Back Office experience would be highly valued
