Must have:
- We have 2+ years of experience managing software engineers working on products used by external users.
We have a proven track record of building products, both as a manager and individual contributor, with best-in-class user experience.
We have a relentless focus on business impact through product and engineering excellence.
We have demonstrated leadership skills in building a high-performing and highly engaged engineering team, including mentoring and growing senior engineers.
It is a plus if we have experience building large-scale systems using React, C++, and/or Ruby.
It is a plus if we have experience building and maintaining open source software and/or libraries for developers.
Responsibilities:
- We manage and support a team of product engineers focused on building and expanding our developer offerings, including Dev Mode, MCP, Code Connect, and more.
We partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to coordinate work across product, design, engineering, and other functions.
We define strategy and roadmap for our team and execute on that roadmap with high autonomy, velocity, and craftsmanship.
We provide hands-on technical leadership to our teams and collaborators to ensure a cohesive product experience and the right technical abstractions.
We recruit, mentor, and retain high-performing engineers and help with other cross-functional roles.
We foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and calculated risk-taking.
We help build and drive our inclusive and diverse culture through hiring, community events, and other programs across Figma.
