Senior Data Engineer - SQL, Python & Databricks - Remote Contract

New Team Build / Global Energy Organisation

We’re looking for experienced Data Engineers to join a new team build for a global energy organisation, working on large-scale data pipelines, cloud platforms and business-critical data solutions.

Strong SQL and Python skills are essential, alongside hands-on Databricks experience and the ability to build, optimise and troubleshoot production data pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimise data pipelines using SQL, Python, PySpark and Databricks.
• Build scalable ETL/ELT processes and reliable data models.
• Improve data quality, reconciliation and pipeline performance.
• Troubleshoot production issues and support cloud migration and system integration.
• Contribute to code reviews, automated testing and CI/CD.
• BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline.

Essential Skills

• Advanced SQL and strong Python programming.
• Hands-on Databricks and PySpark experience.
• Data engineering, ETL/ELT and workflow orchestration.
• Production troubleshooting and data-quality controls.
• Git, Azure DevOps, CI/CD and automated testing.
