Senior Java Developer

Requirements

Must have:

- We require strong hands-on Java development experience.

• We require a solid back-end engineering background.
• We require experience with JSF UI development.
• We require an understanding of microservices, component-based architecture, and design systems.
• We require experience with Git, CI/CD, and continuous delivery toolsets.
• We require a strong understanding of TDD and test automation frameworks.
• We require experience with testing tools such as Jest.
• We require the ability to work collaboratively in a full-stack delivery environment.
• We require exposure to MuleSoft.
• We require experience working on integration-heavy platforms.
• We require previous experience modernising or enhancing enterprise Java applications.
• We require comfort working in agile delivery teams.

Responsibilities:

- We develop and maintain high-quality Java-based backend services.

• We contribute to full-stack delivery, including JSF UI development.
• We work within component-based and microservice-based architectures.
• We follow Test-Driven Development practices and support automated testing.
• We use modern CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and continuous delivery toolsets.
• We collaborate closely with backend, integration, and wider engineering teams.
• We support integration patterns and apply MuleSoft exposure where beneficial.
• We contribute throughout the full software delivery lifecycle, including solution design, development, testing, and continuous delivery.

Company:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer to support the delivery of modern, scalable software solutions within a collaborative engineering environment. This is a 6 to 12 month contract role, outside IR35, based onsite in Glasgow. You will join a team working across backend, integration, and full-stack delivery, with a strong focus on engineering quality, testing, and continuous delivery.
