Senior Python Developer

We're working with a powerhouse global consumer brand on this exciting opportunity to lead a high-impact technical transformation.

As a Lead Python Engineer, you will spearhead the architecture and delivery of critical system synchronisations and scalable backend services. This is a high-visibility contract where you will leverage AWS serverless technologies and Infrastructure as Code to build robust, data-consistent solutions for millions of users.

• *The Role
• Lead the technical architecture and end-to-end delivery of complex backend solutions and high-performance APIs.
• Design and implement reliable system integrations and data synchronisation patterns across a distributed landscape.
• Champion engineering excellence by working within established architecture patterns and rigorous engineering standards.
• Collaborate directly with Product Managers and stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable AWS-hosted services.
• Drive the evolution of the technical roadmap, occasionally contributing to frontend React / Next.js elements when required.
• *What You'll Need
• Expert-level proficiency in Python and TypeScript for building complex, scalable backend services.
• Deep hands-on experience with the AWS ecosystem, specifically ECS, Lambda, Step Functions, and API Gateway.
• Proven track record of managing production-grade infrastructure using Terraform (IaC).
• Extensive experience architecting third-party API integrations and managing complex data synchronisation workflows.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to lead technical decisions and mentor multidisciplinary engineering teams.

• Lucrative day rate of £600 - £700 (Inside IR35).
