Overview
This team is building a modern outbound notification platform that works across multiple channels for a UK public sector organisation. The service enables communication with customers and third parties and includes functionality for managing user contact preferences. Key Responsibilities
Build and support Java/Spring Boot microservices deployed via Docker
Contribute to straightforward front‑end work using Nunjucks and JavaScript following GDS design guidelines
Enhance monitoring and alerting for platform reliability
Support migration activities Essential Skills
Backend Engineering
Java (Experienced)
Spring Boot (Experienced)
Microservices architecture (Experienced)
Containerisation: Docker
JavaScript & Node.js (for occasional, straightforward front‑end build tasks) Front-End (Lightweight)
Nunjucks templating JavaScript fundamentals
