Requirements
Must have:
- Strong commercial Java development experience - Good experience designing and building solutions in AWS - Full-stack development experience using JavaScript, React and TypeScript - Previous experience leading engineers or providing technical direction - An understanding of software architecture and technical design - Experience working throughout the full software development lifecycle - Strong communication and stakeholder-engagement skills - The ability to understand customer challenges and translate them into practical technical solutions - Ability to obtain high-level UK security clearance - Must be a British citizen - Must have lived permanently in the UK for the last five years
Responsibilities:
- Lead and support a team of software engineers - Design, develop and test bespoke software solutions - Provide technical direction and communicate clearly with clients - Produce solution architectures and technical designs - Build full-stack applications using Java, JavaScript, React and TypeScript - Design and deploy cloud-based solutions, primarily using AWS - Create continuous integration pipelines using tools such as GitLab - Work across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements and architecture through to delivery, support and maintenance - Deploy software into public and private cloud environments - Promote high standards of software quality, security and engineering practice
