Senior Software Engineer Python

Requirements

Must have:

- We require at least 5 years of professional experience in a product-development setting.

• We require strong proficiency in Python and C/C .
• We require experience working across Windows and Linux platforms.
• We require experience with complex systems that integrate hardware, sensors, vision, and AI.
• We require experience or interest in deploying machine learning models to edge devices such as NVIDIA Jetson.
• We require strong communication skills and the desire to move into technical leadership or management.
• We require the right to work in the UK.
• We prefer experience in an office-based, collaborative environment.
• We prefer a background in software engineering within a multidisciplinary team.
• We prefer candidates who are comfortable mentoring others and driving best practices across the full software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

- We lead software architecture across Windows and Linux platforms.

• We take technical ownership of a business-critical product codebase.
• We work on complex systems that integrate hardware, sensors, vision, and AI.
• We partner with Data Science to deploy machine learning models to edge devices.
• We mentor junior engineers and help develop their technical capability.
• We drive best practices across the full software development lifecycle.
• We collaborate closely with Physics, Electronics, and Research teams.
• We contribute to the scaling of our research and development team.
• We help innovate and improve a market-leading security technology product.
