We're looking for a hands-on Software / Data Engineer to join a new engineering team working on a long-term project for a major global energy organisation.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Python Engineer looking to work on large-scale data engineering projects, build production-grade solutions and become part of a growing team.

What you'll be doing

• Developing and maintaining data pipelines and backend data solutions using Python and SQL.
• Building and optimising ETL/ELT processes to transform and manage large datasets.
• Working with Databricks and PySpark to develop scalable data processing solutions.
• Writing clean, efficient and maintainable code.
• Supporting data integration, data quality and pipeline performance improvements.
• Collaborating with other engineers to deliver reliable, production-ready solutions.
• Using Git, version control and CI/CD practices throughout the development lifecycle.

Experience:

• Strong hands-on Python programming experience.
• SQL skills, including writing complex queries and working with relational datasets.
• A background in software engineering, data engineering or backend development.
• Understanding of ETL/ELT, data pipelines and data processing.
• Databricks and/or PySpark experience would be a major advantage.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD and cloud-based environments.
• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a similar technical discipline.
