Software Developer

Eserv is hiring for a Software Developer position in our Technology department. We welcome applicants at all experience levels, from recent graduates to senior candidates.

We’re looking for self-motivated, versatile, and collaborative team players who thrive in dynamic environments.

As part of the team based in our Aberdeen office, you’ll contribute to the development of new software products and enhancements to existing applications. Ideal candidates will excel in working with large-scale applications and frameworks and bring strong communication and leadership skills.

Eligibility to Work in the UK

Please note that Eserv is unable to sponsor visas at this time. As such we can only consider applicants who already have the permanent right to work in the UK and do not require current or future sponsorship.

Location

This role is primarily based in our office in Aberdeen. Applicants must be comfortable working in an office-based role and currently reside in Aberdeen or be willing to commute or relocate.

Responsibilities

• Write clean, high-quality, high-performance, maintainable code using modern technologies, including serverless and NoSQL.
• Develop and support software, including applications, database integration, interfaces, and new functionality enhancements.
• Coordinate cross-functionally to ensure projects meet business objectives and compliance standards.
• Participate in testing and deployment of new products and features.
• Engage in code reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related field).
• Proficiency in Object-Oriented Design, Database Design and SOLID Principles.
• Experience with Agile or Scrum software development methodologies.
• Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work effectively.

Relevant Technologies

While specific technology experience is not essential, familiarity with the following is beneficial:

• PHP
• C++
• C#
• Vue.js
• AWS or other cloud-based hosting
• Autodesk Plug-In Development
