Software Engineer

We are collaborating with an engineering and manufacturing business based in the UK that is dedicated to developing cutting-edge solutions for various industrial applications. The Role

• Support the design, development, optimisation, and deployment of electrical, control, instrumentation, and automation (EICA) systems.
• Work on a global product portfolio, ensuring reliable, compliant, and efficient control systems.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation within the engineering team.
• Produce electrical designs and schematics using AutoCAD Electrical.
• Develop and optimise industrial PLC/SCADA control systems, including programming and troubleshooting.
• Assist with testing, commissioning, and fault-finding activities, ensuring compliance with relevant British and European standards.

What You'll Need

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in electrical and PLC software design, with strong knowledge of industrial automation and control system design principles.
• Strong proficiency in CAD software for electrical design.
• Experience with combustion or thermal processing systems is desirable.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and knowledge of relevant standards (EN 60204, ISO 12100, EN746-2) is a plus.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
