Software Engineer / Developer (Java Mathematics) WFH / Surbiton to £60k

Are you a "mathematically minded" Software Engineer looking for an opportunity like to progress your career working on complex and interesting systems?

You could be joining a global geoscience technology company within oil and gas exploration.

As a Software Engineer you'll join a supportive Agile team responsible for the company's highly complex web based data management platform / client portal. You'll gain exposure to the full software development lifecycle working on new features and enhancements as well as maintaining existing applications.

Location / WFH:

You'll be able to work from home most of the time, meeting up with the team in Surbiton, once or twice a week.

About you:

• You have strong Java development experience, they're using Java 21 (will also consider C# or C++ experience if you're happy using Java )
• You're highly numerate with a good understanding of mathematics and data centric systems
• You're familiar with Agile ways of working such as Scrum or Kanban
• You a good understanding of Unit testing
• You're collaborative and enjoy problem solving
• You are degree educated, Mathematics, Computer Science or scientific discipline preferred
