We are a Structural & Civil Engineering Consultancy based in Glasgow city centre at the junction of Sauchiehall St & Buchanan St.
We have our own in-house SER Certifiers for Certification of Building Warrants.
We are seeking to add a Structural Engineer to our office based Team. Projects vary in size up to £30M and include: Extensions; Conversions; New house builds; Tenement terrace refurbishments; Commercial Units; Structural alteration and refurbishments.
Our Client base is diverse, comprising: Small and Medium sized developers: Commercial Clients; Retailers; NHS; Housing Associations; Universities; private individuals.
As an Engineer you will be required to:
Prepare structural design calculations to relevant design codes overseen by a Senior Engineer.
Utilise design software where appropriate.
Prepare design details for CAD Technicians.
Review Architectural drawings as part of creating Structural GA's and Detail drawings.
Undertake CPD on a weekly basis (Minimum 1hr set aside during company time).
Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications
Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
Progressing towards Chartered or Incorporated status with ICE or IStructE.
Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., MasterSeries, STAAD, Tedds).
Strong knowledge of Eurocodes/British Standards
Collaborative communicator with the ability to work effectively across disciplines.
UK-based project experience in Structural Engineering either through employment, internship, or graduate placement.
