Systems Engineer & Test Engineer

Requirements

Must have:

- Experience in systems integration and testing within complex engineering environments - Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills - Experience working with hardware/software interfaces - Ability to develop and execute test plans and procedures - Strong communication skills, with the ability to work across teams and with customers - Experience with simulation systems or real-time environments (desirable) - Familiarity with tools such as MATLAB / Simulink / RTOS (desirable) - Knowledge of aerospace standards (e.g. DO-178C, DO-254) (desirable) - Experience supporting customer acceptance testing (desirable) - Understanding of INCOSE Systems Engineering principles (desirable) - Exposure to Agile or hybrid delivery environments (desirable)

Responsibilities:

- Integrate hardware and software subsystems into fully functional flight simulation systems - Work with multidisciplinary teams (software, electronics, mechanical) to ensure seamless system performance - Diagnose and resolve integration issues, identifying root causes and implementing fixes - Configure and optimise systems to improve reliability and performance - Develop and execute test plans to verify system performance and functionality - Validate systems against requirements and regulatory standards - Produce clear test documentation, including reports, results, and corrective actions - Support certification activities and ensure compliance with industry standards - Act as a key technical contact during system acceptance phases - Support customer demonstrations, testing, and sign-off activities - Ensure all contractual and technical requirements are met prior to delivery - Provide technical guidance and resolve any customer queries during acceptance - Investigate and resolve system issues identified during testing or deployment - Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis activities - Track and manage issues through to resolution - Provide ongoing technical support to internal teams and customers
