Volunteer - Love Lane Day Nursery
I was a volunteer, I helped the staff if they needed help to look after the child, or if they wanted me to take care of them while they brought in the snacks. I helped feed the children and put the babies to sleep if needed, took them outside to play at break times. I also listen carefully to their needs and provide them with what they need, such as more food and drinks, if they request it.
Project worker - Exceed Reading Stars
I’m currently a volunteer with the role of project worker, on school days, I help children who need help reading or are struggling to read. I also take notes and watch the young reading leaders be leaders and help the children to read. On half-term, we take the children from 5-14 and look after them and feed them and do activities with them whether going to the park and play on the swings or being in the hall so they colour in books and draw pictures or take them swimming or the cinemas.
