I have spent the last five years in the Dental industry and have worked in both NHS and private dentistry, across Orthodontics, Implantology, Oral Surgery, Periodontology, and Endodontics and hold a Diploma in Dental Nursing Level 3 and a Dental Laboratory Technician FDSc Degree.

I provided chair-side assistance to the practices of Dental Hygienist and Implantologists whilst studying and completing my Access to H.E in Science. In addition, I assisted in checking the patient's medical history, completing BPE charts and Six-point pocket charting. I participated in Implant consultations and treatment planning with the Implantologists and explained the process, financial costs and methods to the patients.
My other duties included the sterilisation of the surgery and its instruments which were used by the Dental Hygienist and Implantologists. I prepared the surgeries prior to their clinical sessions and before the patient's arrival. I also followed and abided by the following guidelines: HTM 01-05, Health & Safety, C.O.S.H.H and R.I.D.D.O.R.

Providing chairside assistants to the Dentists and Hygienists, Setting-up and preparing the surgery for the different types of patients and treatments planned before the start of each session. I also Liaised with the Practice Manager on all matters concerning administration, pay and service conditions and supported and participated in practice meetings. I also undertook the all necessary recordings in accordance with HTM 01- 05 guidelines, preparing all the necessary materials and instruments and continually interpreting the needs of the patients to the Dentists and Hygienists.
I Assisted in checking patients' medical history information and advised the dentists or Hygienists of any problems the patient noted. I Charted and updated the patient's records via Soe and Exact and assisted the dentist and Hygienist in the completion of patient records. I also sterilised all the equipment/instruments and working surfaces to the mandatory standards at the end of each session, including the sterilisation of the surgery.
I also followed all the practice policies and procedures, including Health & Safety, C.O.S.H.H and R.I.D.D.O.R.
