• My role involved preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold drinks and food items while ensuring presentation and quality standards were consistently maintained. I regularly assisted with food preparation, restocked ingredients and supplies throughout the day, and ensured the café remained organised and fully prepared for busy service periods. I worked efficiently under pressure, prioritising tasks effectively while maintaining accuracy and a positive attitude.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic working environment was an important part of my role. I cleaned preparation areas, workstations, equipment, tables and service areas throughout each shift, ensuring food hygiene, health and safety procedures and company standards were consistently followed. I also supported opening and closing duties when required, helping to prepare the café before service and ensuring everything was left clean, organised and ready for the following day.
• Working closely with colleagues strengthened my communication and teamwork skills, enabling us to provide fast, efficient service during busy periods while maintaining a high standard of customer care. I became confident handling customer requests professionally, resolving minor issues calmly and ensuring every customer left with a positive impression of the café.
