Work Experience - Bradford Council - Bradford
(2025-10 - 2025-10)
At the Metropolitan City Council Administration department, I dealt with confidential client information and created knowledge resources for the team. Legal administrative work meant keeping documentation current and following strict confidentiality rules. The officers I consulted with stressed that clients' legal interests must come first and that appropriate support matters through legal processes.
This showed us how local government legal departments serve their communities whilst managing complex regulations.
Work experience - Kamrans Solicitors - Leeds
(2025-12 - 2025-12)
During work experience at Kamrans Solicitors, I acquired insight into how legal procedures are applied through exposure to diverse criminal law cases. Conversing with professional solicitors taught me to appreciate rigorous research, meticulous attention to detail, and the importance of reviewing every decision carefully. I was also able to provide analytical assistance and reasoned evaluations.
Shadowing a case proved particularly valuable for understanding how solicitors build constructive relationships with clients whilst maintaining professional boundaries. Observing client consultations demonstrated the importance of active listening, clear communication, and empathy in legal practice.
Work experience - Shipley Pharmacy - Bradford
(2024-10 - 2024-11)
During my time at Shipley Pharmacy, I had the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional healthcare setting. My role involved printing prescriptions, organising prescription records using spreadsheets, restocking shelves, and preparing and packaging medication for customers and deliveries. Working alongside a team of peers helped me strengthen my communication, teamwork, and organisational skills.
The experience also sharpened my attention to detail, reinforced the importance of following procedures precisely, and boosted my confidence in managing tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
A-Level and (Former) GCSE student - Ilkley Grammar School (2019-09 - 2026-08)
