This experience helped me to develop an enthusiastic, reliable and confident approach to working with the public and how to make sure a customer feels important and welcome in the café because the customer always comes first and multi-tasking. It also showed me the importance of keeping a positive working environment and being a support network for my colleagues.My duties involved serving high-quality food and beverages, cash handling and sanitising protocols. The most significant lesson I learnt from this role was that I have a real passion for engaging with customers and how vital it is to have positive relationships with colleagues when working in a fast paced environment.

This experience taught me how to use my work ethic and apply it to various roles.I had to also be versatile since I had shifts from a variety of hours. I can say that my communicational skills have drastically improved from interacting with customers and solving their problems.I worked in hours before opening and I filled the shelves with the IKEA product to prepare for incoming customers. Additionally, I worked during the opening hours of IKEA and helped customers to answer their questions.
One of my biggest interests is basketball and football, being a fan of both and playing the sport. Through basketball and football, I have found the qualities needed of a good leader to help the whole team succeed such as empathy, creativity and decisiveness.
