I have recently finished my BA (hons) degree in ‘Early childhood studies’ where I received q first classification. I have experience working in different early years settings where I was able to enhance my learning and skills whilst gaining confidence in the profession. I love working with children as it is fulfilling, fun, and interesting. In my spare time, I enjoy musical theatre, walking my dog, spending time with friends and family, paddle boarding, and yoga.
My most recent professional experience is working at a day nursery as a nursery assistant. I also had another job as a nursery assistant at another nursery. These were bank staff positions in order for me to balance my university degree workload at the time.
Whilst on my degree I got given opportunities to gain experience in different settings, these included nurseries, and a primary school. Before university, I gained professional experience working in retail and hospitality settings where I developed key skills such as communication, organization, creativity, and patience. I also worked two summers at a girls scout camp in America.
This was a great work experience that taught me a lot about working as part of a team, being adaptable, tolerant, enthusiastic, and imaginative.
This year I will graduate with a First in 'Early Childhood Studies' from the University of Gloucestshire with a BA (hons) qualification. This practical and academic course gave me a broad and extensive knowledge of early childhood care, learning, and outcomes.
