January 2023-Current: Supermums – Salesforce Training Manager & System Administrator

Context: Supermums empowers individuals, particularly women, by helping them transition into flexible and well-paid careers in the Salesforce ecosystem while balancing personal and professional responsibilities. Context: Socially deprived area meaning many students had profound barriers to learning and low aspirations. Throughout my career I experienced a range of roles to include Geography & RE Teacher, Head of Geography Department & Sixth Form Head of Year with university admissions responsibility.

2021 – Current: SME Business Start Up – Owner/Manager

Context: Alongside my full time role, I embraced an opportunity to manage an SME start-up. A personal stretch and challenge to enhance and develop commercial and business management experience .

• Sourcing premises and suppliers at best value, negotiating contracts and managing legal requirements.
• Maintaining up-to-date and accurate accounts in line with statutory requirements & GDPR compliance
• Constructing advertising and PR both digitally and conventional media, building relationships and the business reputation.
• Sole responsibility for brand development and launch - upholding brand and positive business reputation.
• Managing risk and dealing with adversity. 
• Business running at a profit within its first quarter (with an operating profit margin of 58%).

2015 - 2022: AQA - Examiner

Context: Examiner for Geography GCSE with AQA within a rapidly expanding, global organisation, assessing students world-wide. Fast paced environment that demands adaptability, resilience and reliability.

• Adhering to statutory procedures and managing large workloads against strict deadlines, frequently securing positive feedback for working at speed with exacting levels of accuracy. Requiring academic rigour and consistent approach to meet and exceed targets. Exceeded my target by 35% in volume of candidates reviewed.

2006 - Current: Iceland Foods PLC – Duty Manager

Context: Retail store in most deprived ward of South Tyneside resulting in a diverse customer base with crime levels above average. Promoted to Duty Manager within 18months of beginning the role.

• High levels of vigilance in relation to safety at work, accident reporting and management and manual handling. 
• Development of training programme to improve the working efficiency of new staff members.
• Performance, progress and wellbeing monitoring of new employees.
