I am a psychology graduate with one year of experience as a mental health support worker aiming to further my career in helping people.
I have 1 year of experience working for Lifeways as a mental health support worker. I have provided compassionate person-centred support to individuals experiencing mental health challenges, aiding in developing coping strategies and independent living skills. I have demonstrated reliability, motivation, and interpersonal skills in building rapport with service users and staff as well as identifying key goals for service users, formulating a plan to achieve these in achievable steps.
More recently I have provided a mentor role through a buddy system in supporting new staff members through their induction into a new role and providing guidance where appropriate to ensure the transition runs smoothly.
I have a Second Class Honours (upper division) in psychology achieved at Northumbria University, Newcastle Upon Tyne.
I also have 3 A levels (in psychology, sociology, and Maths), and 9 GCSEs (A*-C), achieved at Huxlow Science College, Northamptonshire.
