I am fortunate to have gained valuable experiences that have helped shape me as a person and develop important skills, including teamwork, communication, leadership, and confidence. My reassuring nature has helped greatly over the last few months with dog owners, in trusting that their beloved pet and home is safe in my hands while they enjoy their holiday. Now the holiday season is ending, I need to look for a permanent job role to grow my skills further.
I have great initiative working on my own but look forward to being part of a team again.

Due to my love of animals, self confidence and personal initiative, I have been keeping busy undertaking multiple dog sitting jobs, both holiday breaks and daytime care.
Adhoc role when staff cover required - The Holmbush Inn – Restaurant
(2024-01)
While working at The Holmbush Inn, I have grown in confidence and am comfortable communicating, working with customers and learnt the importance of patience when working in customer service. Working in the hospitality industry has taught me great time management skills, as a very busy village pub, utilising my time where I was needed most, was what made me a valued member of the team.
Work experience placement then volunteer - Horsham Water Gardens
(2025-01 - 2026-05)
As part of my college program, I was required to complete 150 hours of work experience, and was thrilled to be doing this here. After completion, they wanted to keep me on but with no further staffing budget were unable to offer me a paid role so I gladly volunteered once a week as really enjoyed my time here. I often spoke to members of the public, with many children asking questions about the animals, which I felt privileged to be able to answer.
I also helped both children and adults get over their fear of reptiles through positive encouragement and praise.
Work experience placement - Leechpool Primary School
(2023-01 - 2023-01)
In year 10 I did work experience for a week at Leechpool Primary school where I worked with a variety of children, each with dissimilar needs and learning abilities. I spent a lot of time with the art teacher helping teach small groups how to do certain things, such as painting and oil pastels. Not only did I work alongside the art teacher, I also got the opportunity to work 1-1 with children who had additional needs.
