I am currently working at Imerys which specialises in the minerals industry. During my time here I have been able to gain new skills and develop on skills that I already possessed. I work shifts at Imerys including 12hr nights.

Drive a front wheel loader
Blend different grades of clay
Use a boom stacker to stack clay
Load tankers

Perform lab work to test the slurry which consists of handling chemicals
Use the SCADA system to monitor and control processes throughout the factory

Mill & Spray Dryer Operative - Johnsons Tiles

During my time at Johnsons Tiles I carried out regular checks on the Spray Dryer to ensure uninterrupted and smooth operation. I worked on 12-hour days/ night shift basis.

Check for moisture, the correct temperatures and pressure pumps
Monitor the mill and carry out density, viscosity, and moisture checks
