Media Production Work Placement - Community Lives Consortium - Swansea

6-month work experience placement with a Swansea-based organisation which provides support for people with severe learning disabilities. Attended events to interact with service users and capture and record footage for projects such as promotional videos, posters and advertisements. Responsible for gathering footage, editing, scheduling meetings with/interviewing staff and service users, attending different events and producing media-based projects.

• Created a 10-minute promotional video aimed at recruiting new staff
• Produced a 5-minute video advertising an annual event held by the organization
• Demonstrated skills in communicating with people who faced serious communication challenges
• Responsible for the complete process of gathering footage and editing said footage into different projects
