Currently in specimen reception Laboratory (CSR) sorting and booking different types of samples (Bloods, urine stools including microbiology infection samples all types of infection science). During my time in this role, I worked in the Clinical Biochemistry department, I oversaw the maintenance of suitable levels of stock and the dispatch to the correct department. While working here I have been able to build on my organisational skills by making sure to efficiently prioritise my workload at the start of each day and my communication skills by communicating with my colleges to understand which tasks they would like prioritised and understand how I can best assist them.

During my time in this role, I ensured that I provided exceptional customer service and was a point of contact for the tenants regarding their queries making sure that they feel comfortable. I am also responsible for carrying out health and safety checks and communicating my concerns to the rest of my team. This role has improved my communication skills with not only customers but my team and my organisational skills.

In this role, I was tasked with greeting customers with a warm and welcoming approach and trying to quickly identify customer needs and aid. Another responsibility that I had was making sure that people had the corrects identification when entering the building as well as walking around the building to try spot any suspicious activity.
