In my career to date, I have worked mainly as a General Operative in the Warehousing and Light Engineering sectors, for over twenty-five years. I have worked both on my own, and as a member of a team. For example, when working for Midland Engineering Ltd, we had a very large order from a new client, which had to be produced, packed and sent to the customer in a matter of days.
The work involved working shifts, both night and day, and had to be completed to a very high standard. I worked as part of the team that produced the order, before helping to assemble the components, packing the final products and ensuring they were loaded onto the delivery vehicle correctly. The client was so impressed with the quality of the work, and the speed in which the order was delivered, that we became their number one supplier, thus increasing our reputation (mainly through word of mouth) and our business turnover.
