About
I am a compassionate individual keen to work in a team to achieve objectives and offer support to those who need it.
Experience
I assisted an OAP who had arthritis and I helped her complete her prescribed exercises. I also spent time with her to read her books, newspapers, engage her in conversations and assist in her personal chores.
I volunteered at Woodside Vaccination Clinic while Covid-19 vaccinations were being administered to the public. My work consisted of regularly wiping down chairs and desks to reduce transmission of Covid-19. We often had to form a good rapport with people in the waiting room, whom were anxious around needles. To keep them calm was a big part of the role and this has enhanced my ability to maintain and start conversations with many people.
I also volunteered at Exotic Zoo, situated in Telford. Daily cleaning of animal enclosures with morning and afternoon feeds were required before the zoo opened and after it had closed. When the public had arrived, we interacted with people of all ages and further educating them on a specific animal we were assigned to. This taught me to develop my delivery style to best suit whom I was speaking to.
