Aicha Helem

I am pursuing a Master of Civil and Architectural Engineering at the University of Bath, with an expected graduation date of May 2024. My academic journey has equipped me with a solid foundation in civil engineering principles, structural analysis, and proficiency in engineering design and analysis software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office and beginner-level programming

Throughout my academic career, I have actively engaged in projects that demonstrate my technical skills and innovative thinking. Notable projects include the Solus Design Project, the Avon Car Park extension, and the STEM Innovation Hub. These experiences have honed my abilities in structural design, analysis, and the practical application of engineering principles.

My internship experiences at Arcadis and Jestico + Whiles have given me valuable insights into real-world engineering challenges. At Arcadis, I worked on the HS2 project, gaining exposure to technical analysis, project management, and the commercial aspects of engineering. Additionally, my time at Jestico + Whiles allowed me to contribute to the design of the Barbican Centre renewal project, where I enhanced my skills in environmental performance assessment and structural design.

I possess diverse skills, including proficiency in various engineering software, effective problem-solving abilities, and strong interpersonal skills. My experiences as a tutor, salesperson, and mentor have further developed my communication and organisational skills.
