Work Placement in Electrical Engineering at IDS (2024-06 – 2024-06)

In this work placement I had:

• Gained experience, exposure and knowledge of career-specific procedures and systems involving operating heavy machinery.
• Gained practical experience with cleaning out work areas and relocating kiosks.
• Learned specific safety procedures involving heavy lifting.
• Ensured the correct deliveries had arrived by checking individual items and working my way through a checklist.
• Discovered a better understanding of the work environment through attending work meetings.

Waiter at The Bombay Cottage (2026-01 – 2026-04)

As part of my work at this job, some of the tasks I had to complete are listed below:

• Greeting customers at the door.
• Taking orders from customers.
• Preparing starters and desserts.
