I am a Pharmaceutical science graduate from London Metropolitan University actively seeking roles in research and development in the pharmaceutical sector. I have a strong background in biotechnology where I was exposed to concepts ranging from downstream processing and microbiological techniques to pharmaceutical biotechnology. I am well versed in scientific equipment such as HPLC, UV-Spectrophotometer, ELISA, Fluorescence spectrometer, GC and Micro centrifugation, I completed my undergraduate in Biotechnology engineering at BITS Pilani Dubai Campus and was based in Dubai for my whole life.
I worked for a year where I gained professional expertise in food and water laboratory testing as well as working in a research facility closely linked to plant physiology. During my postgraduate studies, I worked on a research project where the objective was the biophysical investigation of the mechanism of action of antimicrobial peptides. This project opened me up to the possibility of creating pharmaceutical products that are not resistant by the body and can hence leave a longer therapeutic effect.
I have had the chance to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams through both wet and dry lab experiences as a result of my academic endeavors, which has helped me develop my teamwork abilities. I am motivated to innovate and close the gap between the pharmaceutical sector and research in order to have a good impact, whether it is an industry or academia.
