I would describe myself as a hardworking and eager to learn individual, I have worked from a young age and love learning new skills and opening myself up to new opportunities. I have experience in working with both children and adults which has helped me become more adaptable to different types of customers and different situations. Having worked in many fast paced environments I pick up new skills quickly. I have a very bubbly personality and tend to get on with everyone.
I got my first job when I was 15 doing Saturday shifts in a local florist( Mj’s Cherished occasions) where I started out by making tea/coffee and making sure the shop was clean, this developed into being able to make bouquets of flowers, taking customer orders and manning the shop on my own.
I then worked in KFC - Rutherglen for a year where I was the main point of contact for customers, I would take and pack orders under a time limit but insured all orders were correct and customers remained happy.
During my time as KFC I started volunteering at a local After School Care (Tinto afterschool care) twice a week which led to being offered a full time job the summer I left high school. My role here was to supervise primary aged children with a fun and safe environment while offering fun activities that all children could enjoy together. My time here working and volunteering last 1 year.
I currently work as an usher at the Pavilion theatre, here I make sure guest feel welcome and have a clean environment to come into, I am there to make sure guests know where they are sitting and making sure any question they may have are answered. I have also worked in the shop selling merchandise and drinks/snacks.
I am currently studying at Glasgow Clyde College - Langside campus doing my NC Early Education and Childcare
