Aimee Henderson

I am a creative and innovative individual with a range of skills critical to working in a technical setting. I am self-motivated, committed and determined in achieving my goals. I am highly organised with excellent team working skills, a firm sense of responsibility and a capacity and desire to work hard under pressure as part of a team or individually.

I also have excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, and can relate to a wide range of people as evidenced by my work experiences.

With over 6 years’ experience in a QA role, I have both the professional experience and, I believe, the right personality and values that would align well with any forward thinking software team.

Throughout my career to date, I have gained experience testing across a range of platforms – including desktop, web and mobile applications – as part of agile scrum teams. As a result of this regular scrum teamwork, I am well acquainted with typical sprint processes such as story pointing, ‘three amigos’ sessions for requirement capturing, and collaborating with business analysts, developers and other stakeholders within the company.

I have a keen eye for detail, and broad experience working with HTML, JavaScript, C#, CSS, Rest APIs, and BDD. I also have hands on experience of creating a test suite from the ground up and embedding it into the development lifecycle, giving me the confidence I could take this initiative into any future role.

I am a true problem-solver, thriving in an environment where I can identify issues and provide solutions. Nothing beats an ‘aha!’ moment for me, especially in situations where I have worked ‘through the pain’ with a colleague who can share my joy!

I have a first class honours degree in Mathematics from Heriot Watt University.
