A highly enthusiastic and motivated healthcare support worker with a passion for working in the mental health field with experience supporting vulnerable adults. With a plethora of knowledge coupled with experience I am eager to put my skills to use by supporting and making a positive difference to people's lives. • Support individuals with autism, ADHD, down syndrome, epilepsy, and mental health needs to Promoting independence service users in day-to-day life e.g., organisation skills become, planning their day, cleaning, meal-planning, and shopping.
• Effectively communicating with for example non-verbal service users using Makaton to ensure easy communication, expressions and understanding of their needs and requirements
• Integrating service users into the community enabling better access e.g., trips to the cinema, theme park and daily walks to promote healthy wellbeing.
• Advising service user about management of budget for example how to spend the money wisely.

• Supported a wide range of students from young children to adolescents with autism/intellectual disability and mental health e.g.,1-1 support with student with the former and providing a non-judgemental space for those with mental health concerns.

• Communicated with non-verbal students using Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) enabling students to use the cards with pictures and symbol to request for things e.g., to ask for a drink or answer a question.
