I have extensive experience working with neurodivergent individuals across clinical, educational, and forensic settings, taking a flexible, collaborative, and individualised approach that moves beyond standardised models. I understand neurodiversity as encompassing a range of cognitive profiles, including autism, ADHD, and dyslexia, and I prioritise each client's unique strengths, needs, and ways of engaging. Alongside my professional training, I bring lived experience of ADHD, which informs my understanding of challenges in education, relationships, emotional regulation, and workplace functioning, as well as strengths in divergent thinking and creativity.

This supports my work with clients who may feel marginalised, overwhelmed, or misunderstood within occupational and social environments. I also bring over 25 years of experience working with Employee Assistance Programmes (EAPs) and insurance companies, managing referrals, conducting clinical assessments, providing short- and longer-term therapeutic interventions, and supporting clients presenting with a broad range of emotional, psychological, workplace, and trauma-related difficulties.

Highly motivated and Senior Accredited Counsellor (BACP & NCPS) and EMDR Europe Accredited Practitioner in private practice since February 2002, providing short- and long-term counselling to a diverse client group of all ages, including individuals and couples. I work both independently and as an associate counsellor for several Employee Assistance Programmes (EAPs), delivering open-ended and time-limited therapy from initial assessment through to completion. I maintain a caseload of approximately 25 clients, seen weekly or fortnightly, including EAP referrals and students in secondary, further, and higher education.

I also have extensive experience working across eating disorder services and drug and alcohol services, as well as within forensic settings including probation, prison environments, and occasionally police stations. For 10 years, I provided counselling to staff at Benenden Hospital. In addition, I am a clinical supervisor and hold a Certificate in Education from the University of Greenwich.

I worked for SPACE Counselling Service, Slough, Berkshire, from May 1999 to July 2001. During this time, I also received and managed referrals through the Pink Therapy Centre. In May 2000, I joined the management committee, contributing to fundraising, recruitment of counsellors and staff, and the assessment and allocation of clients to trainee counsellors.
