I am a professional Illustrator with experience within Graphic Novels, Comics, Cover Design and Zines. Alongside working knowledge with the interconnecting design industry, printing and Social Media/marketing. As a Queer Artist I have developed a drive for communication and connection within my work, giving me a headstrong approach to represent diverse communities in a positive way.
As a Freelance Illustrator, I built a strong brand through instagram, with a community of over 18k followers, turning it into a full time position. I have worked on a range of Commercial Projects, such as a cover artist for Tiny Ghost Press’ “My Name Is Magic” publication, Spread and Merch Artist for two of Cosmic Cow Zine’s and Camp Sappho’s Charity Zine. Additionally I have worked on a range of private commissions. I worked for a year on [RE]Start, a genre breaking graphic novel/journal. I was a key player in building the project from the ground up. Originally I joined as an Illustrator, working in procreate and the Adobe Suite to establish a visual style for cohesion, I also helped develop characters and environments for the project. During a pause in production, I came on as an editor for script cohesion, utilising my writing skills and ensuring the correct representation. I then went on to hone my skills as a Layout Designer, where paneling and type became a big point of focus for us to get the best printed pieces this went hand in hand with the final stages of the production, where the team chose a promotional piece of artwork that I had been commissioned to do, to be the cover. This was a perfect opportunity to develop my InDesign skills further as I had to reformat the image. Post launch, I worked with the Marketing team, where we were able to host a really successful marketing event in collaboration with Creative Access and Rich Mix.
I am a graduate of Falmouth University, with a Bachelors in Illustration (BA) Hons.
