Refuse Loader/collector - Ash Waste Services - Runcorn, Frodsham, Warrington

I am currently employed by Ash Waste Services. The main duty of this role is to travel and empty waste bins. The main areas I cover are Runcorn, Frodsham, Warrington however I often cover surrounding areas such as Helsby, Delamere, Knutsford and Lymm.

This role can be very challenging at times with having to deal with tough and heavy equipment but also provide a safe and secure environment especially with working within the public. I usually complete approximately 130 jobs per day within my routes, once collected I make my way to the main yard either WSR Widnes or Wrexham to tip the waste into the tips provided.

• Ensuring no containers are broken or have been contaminated
• Ensuring all rules and regulations are followed, for example: making sure certain waste is disposed of correctly
• Ensuring the correct waste is collected correctly, for example: making sure no waste is included that could cause high risk such as electrical items as this would increase the risk of a fire hazard

Sales Canvasser - McQueen's Daries

McQueen's Daries is a family ran business that provides fresh milk. During my time working for McQueen's Daries, my role consisted of travelling the surrounding areas dropping off milk that had been purchased by the public. This was a very fast based and competitive role; this has gained me with the experience of working within the public which has benefited me in my current role.

Unloader - Computer Disposal LTD

During my time at Computer Disposal LTD, my role consisted of unloading used electrical items such as printers and telephones onto pallets to then be shipped to other departments of the warehouse to then be disposed of whilst also ensuring and checking whether any items are damaged, and if damaged then follow the correct procedure for this. This role has helped me gained a good level of understanding in technology.

• Assess each item to distinguish which were broken and which were still useable
• Checking items and separating them into value

Sales Assistant/ Picker & Unloader - B&M Distribution Centre/ Retail Store

(2016-05 - 2018-02)

Once I had left college, my first employment was for B&M Distribution Centre/ Retail Store where across my time here I was a sales Assistant within the store and also had the experience of a Picker & Unloader advisor in the Distribution Centre. Working here gained me the confidence and knowledge of employment since being in education.
