I am a NUJ-accredited multimedia journalist, producer, former reporter, actor, and a Lance Corporal/ instructor in the British Army.
Initially joining BFBS as a Digital News Producer, I was responsible for creating fast, accurate, and engaging digital content for a global military and defence audience. I used strong editorial judgment to turn complex or sensitive stories into clear, accessible formats across web and social platforms. I collaborated daily with journalists, video editors, and producers to deliver timely news updates and original features under tight deadlines.
Promoted to Social Media Producer, I now lead platform-specific content strategies for Facebook, X (Twitter), Instagram, and YouTube. My role involves planning and producing original video content, breaking news, and human-interest stories that resonate with our audience. I use analytics to guide decisions, optimise performance, and adapt storytelling styles to suit each platform's tone, format, and user expectations.
This role has sharpened my instincts for audience engagement, storytelling, and cross-functional collaboration in a high-pressure, digital-first environment. I bring creativity, adaptability, and strategic thinking to every aspect of content production — always with a clear focus on audience needs and impact.
Serving in the British Army Reserves, I have developed a strong foundation in logistics, leadership, and instruction. As a Class 3 Supplier, I manage the procurement, coordination, and delivery of military equipment, supplies, and ammunition during exercises and operations, using systems like MJDI to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
As a qualified Skill at Arms Instructor, I train soldiers in the safe handling, maintenance, and effective use of weapon systems. This requires clear communication, adaptability to different learning styles, and the ability to lead confidently in high-pressure, physically demanding environments.
This experience has strengthened my attention to detail, risk management, and team leadership skills — all of which are directly applicable to civilian roles that require structure, reliability, and clear communication.
