During my time at Sports Direct, I learnt numerous skills, such as effective communication with customers, commitment, and displaying being helpful when necessary. I have basic cash handling and till skills. Although I was only part of the Sports Direct team for a short period, I was able to adapt quickly and learn all the important skills needed, such as unpacking deliveries, moving stock onto the shop floor in good condition to be sold, and restocking deliveries efficiently.
Direct in Wigan town centre has now closed, meaning I lost my position at the company. However, I helped with the closure of the shop, which was a very fast process as we only had one month's notice. It was essential that I helped quickly relocate stock to other stores and worked closely with members of other branches to ensure the shop was empty by the given date. This experience helped me work well under pressure and develop strong teamwork skills.

While at this job, I have worked in multiple roles, such as a personal server, a food runner and kitchen staff. Learning numerous different responsibilities has allowed me to gain new experiences and skills such as time management, problem solving and professionalism within different unfamiliar environments. I am very excited for a new opportunity and new role within a team and form new friendships with those around me. I am ready to be challenged and gain new experiences.

While at this job, I have had numerous roles such as a server at the café, working with tills, cash, coworkers, food and beverages such as coffees [basic machine skills], slushies, draft drinks and cans. As well as this I also take food orders that can be written or receipt printed with customers orders and table numbers, which are then handed into the kitchen then, the food is collected and taken to customers when it is prepared. A big role of this job is the cleaning, this is sweeping, clearing and wiping down tables, mopping, and cleaning sinks, urinals and toilets.
I also help unload stock, this includes carrying heavy goods [crates of cans/bottles] back and forth then loading them into fridges in an organised fashion. Additionally i refill coffee machine, refill the slush machines and more, aswell as emptying the overflow from draft ns coffee machines to ensure they do not leak. This job has given me a wide range of experience which I am so grateful for.
