In this role I travel around the community to service users residents. I am there to help complete domestic tasks that the service user struggles to complete, sometimes this can involve supervising the service user whilst they complete the task or me myself doing the task they are unable to complete themselves. I also help the service users with community access which can be taking them to the local supermarkets to get their weekly shopping other times this could be taking them somewhere to complete activities.
I also support services users by contacting people via telephone call on their behalf if they aren't able to do this themselves. My main task is to help support service users to be independent and encourage them to complete tasks themselves.
Finance Assistant at Parker Steel LTD (2022-12 – 2024-03)
In this role, I applied the knowledge gained from my Level 3 AAT Accounting Diploma on a daily basis. I was responsible for maintaining accurate purchase ledger records, ensuring all supplier invoices were processed correctly through a digital system, helping bring this system into place I reported any issues to the necessary individuals. I also reconciled supplier statements and investigated discrepancies.
Additionally, I handled confidential financial data, including bank account details, and recorded all incoming and outgoing transactions in compliance with company procedures. My role also involved preparing cash and cheque deposits for banking, demonstrating attention to detail and accuracy. Through this position, I developed strong communication skills by liaising with suppliers and internal departments to resolve queries promptly.
I also managed administrative tasks such as sorting and distributing incoming post, recording outgoing correspondence, and maintaining organized filing systems to support efficient audit trails.
