I am dedicated and compassionate 26 year old support worker with over 6 years experience providing high quality care and support to individuals with a range of needs. I have proven ability to build trustworthy relationships with service users, families and staff members whilst maintaining professionalism in challenging situations. I am a very fast learner due to working in this environment for so long, I also have a good use of initiative.
I am very reliable, empathetic and adaptable. I can work well in a team as well as on my own and i am also a good team leader when needed to be. I have a lot of transferable skills although I am always looking to further develop my skills and experience.
Support Worker at JRH Support (2020-03 – Present)
I am currently a support worker providing high quality, person centred care to individuals with varying needs. I was also a personal care assistant to a family member for over 7 years. Both of these jobs have given me experience in a lot of aspects in life as every day is different.
I have developed a lot of transferrable skills that I can use in a lot of sectors. I have experience working in domiciliary care for 6 months. This job enabled me to experience a wide range of situations and learn how to deal with them.
I have experience handling medication and care plans. I did 2 weeks work experience in a primary school in my local area, in the 2 weeks I had to take control of certain situations, think fast and use my initiative. I also had be a leader most of the time as well.
I have experience working as a waitress, this has helped me with my customer service skills and also helped me improve my people skills.
