Having spent six and a half years as a section head leading partnership expansion and conducting research in geopolitical security, I am hoping to initiate a career switch into the social justice, development and charity sector. I am now a Masters student at the London School of Economics and Political Science, pursuing a degree in Anthropology and International Development.
I am a clear and effective communicator, and am excited by the prospect of overcoming new challenges and engaging new people. I am also a highly dependable worker, capable of working well both independently and in a team.
I worked six and a half years at the Ministry of Defence in Singapore, switching and at times double-hatting between different desks. My most recent post was the Section Head of Intelligence Direction. Prior to that, I was a research analyst looking at great power rivalry, security developments in Northeast Asia, and terrorism developments in Southeast Asia.
I was also involved in coordinating information requirements for the Singapore Armed Forces' humanitarian assistance operations for the US' evacuation out of Kabul, Afghanistan as well as for Gaza.
Prior to my current pursuit of a Masters degree in Anthropology and International Development at the London School of Economics and Political Science, I completed my undergraduate degree in Political Science at the National University of Singapore in 2017, with Honours. I graduated with a distinction (4.21/5).
