My objective is to secure a permanent position as a First Officer on a private or charter motor yacht whilst providing excellent service and complete guest satisfaction. I bring positivity and energy to the workplace and have a passion for service in creating memorable experiences for the guests. I have the ability to work really well in a team and learn very quickly, being open to everything that has been thrown at me.
I have been committed professional in the Maritime industry for 18 years and have gained a thorough knowledge of all areas of the deck department. I have extensive knowledge of yacht management, supervising crew and contractors and am supportive of others in my team. My ability to work to deadlines and budgets has proven useful to owner and guest while also ensuring their safety and security.
I consider myself a highly motivated individual who enjoys a challenge. I have completed all the Chief Officer except the Oral Exam for taking Sights.

Re-hired by the Captain. Light owner use cruising the NE USA during the summer periods and heavy duty maintenance work in Fort Lauderdale during our downtime. Ensured all Certificates and Safety Systems were in date and trained junior crew on all aspects of deck maintenance. The Yacht sold.
Delivery Mate - M/Y Seafalcon

Hired by the owner to deliver his Yacht from the Bahamas through the Canal to Panama city. Due to COVID-19 I was asked to remain with the skeleton crew as acting Captain. I also prepared meals, managed provisions and ensured the vessel was clean and organized. We were at anchor for 3 Months.

Family yacht cruising Bahamas and NE Coast U.S.A. In between trips I assisted the 2nd Captain with a mayor refit of their 2nd yacht, in Fort Lauderdale, a 38M Delta, until its launch.

Involved in bringing the yacht into 'Navigational Status' towards the end of an extensive yard period. Responsible for the hiring and safety training of new fulltime crew. Adhered to tight budgetary and time deadlines to close up projects in order to carry out sea trials and ready the yacht for our 1st boss trip. Divided my time between deck maintenance and project management.

Private yacht under new ownership. Assisted the Captain with paperwork, contractors and purchasing new snorkeling/beach gear. Conducted safety training for new and existing crew. Two boss trips cruising the Bahamas, towing a 34ft Jupiter.

Busy Family Yacht based in Florida with trips to the Bahamas. Joined just before the new owners took over. Updated Fire/Safety equipment and paperwork. Renewed Navigational Publications and set up a mini ISM. Carried out Safety Familiarisation Training and Drills for all crew. In charge of two deckhands and towing operations.

Joined at the end of a year long refit. Upgraded all safety systems, charts, publications etc. and worked with Flag and Class to comply with SOLAS and bring the yacht into Charter status. Involved in hiring new crew and purchasing mooring gear and toys to tight budget and time deadlines. Cruised the Caribbean for Boss and Charter trips.
Mate - M/Y Octopussy

I was hired to orchestrate the completion of a major refit from a partial paint job, complete engine room paint job and complete interior refit. The yacht had been on the hard for 3 years and required all new mooring gear, safety equipment, fire systems, toys etc. This huge project required the strong management of dayworkers and multiple contractors to have the yacht ready for the Palm Beach Boat Show.
2nd Officer - M/Y Lady Lau

Vessel based in Italy. Management of up to 4 deck crew completing many paint projects and organising all spaces on board which were in need of some TLC. Organised charter itineraries for boss trips, updated all charts, navigational software, and prepared passage plans. Resigned due to high crew turnover.

Private vessel, fully managed and running ISM and ISPS. Responsible for the upkeep of the planned maintenance, nautical publications and charts, OLB, garbage and GMDSS logbooks. Responsible for running all scheduled drills and introductory training for all new crew. I was originally employed as Bosun but was promoted to 1st Officer when I gained the OOW certificate in July 2013. Cruised in the Mediterranean. The yacht sold.

Owner trips in the Caribbean and Bahamas. Mini ISM, passage planning; chart corrections; some drive time as well as watch leader; management of all safety systems and drills. Completing large maintenance projects on deck in preparation for Miami and Palm Beach boat shows.

Private vessel run with full ISM. Crossing from Spain to Fort Lauderdale for speedy refit before new owners Bahamas trip: Tender driving, launching jet skis, watch leader on all passages, ensuring exterior kept to high standard. Much grinding, fairing and AWLGRIP painting during yard period.
Mate - M/Y Leonessa

Summer Med season with owners on board for 2 months with new anchorage or mooring every day. As a small crew, I helped in all departments but mainly deck and engineering including mooring, anchoring, all tender operations, wash downs and maintenance work in the engine room and on deck.
Bosun - M/Y Lady Allison

Privately owned yacht. Busy summer season in the Med with owners and guests cruising East and West coasts of Italy, Croatia and Montenegro – new location every day and lots of tender driving (jet). Watch leader on 2 Atlantic crossings and all coastal passages. Yard work in Fort Lauderdale as acting Mate in charge of contractors and day workers in regards to deck maintenance, varnishing and upgrades.

Privately owned boat cruising New England, Florida and Bahamas. 2 very busy shipyard periods getting the boat ready for the Ft Lauderdale boat show and modifications to the boat for the new owner. General upkeep and maintenance of the yacht, including varnishing. Looking after guests when aboard. Watch leader on all passages. Boat sold at the show.
Deckhand - M/Y Lady Sheridan

Helped prepare this new build for launch: Organised and completed data entry using Triton; moved furniture and other interior/deck items from storage to the boat; took part in ISM safety training. Travelled from North Germany to Antibes and assisted in watches and line handling. Carried out a detailed clean of the yacht in preparation for the owners visit.

Responsible for the daily operation of the yacht. Coordination of ongoing work with yard workers. Assigned duties to crew members and managed all day workers. Carried out maintenance duties and oversaw the general upkeep of the yacht. Worked with the interior crew on the occasions we hosted drinks parties on board. Driving of the boat to relieve the captain.
