Alicia Cottam

A motivated, adaptable and responsible employee with great organisation and communication skills developed through my involvement with working with the general public and animals during my time volunteering at Greenslate farm. During college, I successfully combined my work and other training commitments, showing myself to be self-motivated, organised and capable of working under pressure. I have a clear, logical mind with a practical approach to problem-solving and a drive to see things through to completion.

I enjoy working on my own initiative or in a team. Whilst at University, I gained experience with volunteering and working with a canine hydrotherapist. As well as working in the cattery on-site or and farm animal off-site.

In short, I am reliable, trustworthy, hardworking and eager to learn and have a genuine interest in many things relating to animals

During my time at greenslate farm, I thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of my volunteer work which included:

• Building a duck enclosure
• Feeding and cleaning out animal enclosures
• Ensuring animal safety at all times
• Being in-charge of animal selection
• Learnt how to work independently or as part of a team
• Practiced excellent time keeping skills
