While my time at WestPoint, I have developed an excellent number of skills such as, communication skills are crucial. I need to effectively communicate with patients and colleagues, listen to patients' concerns, and explain procedures clearly. Attention to detail is also important.
Precision matters when assisting with dental procedures and maintaining patient records. Organizationalskills help me manage appointments, keep track of patient records, and ensure the dental surgery is well-prepared which was never a problem. Manual dexterity is essential too.
When working with dental instruments and assisting the dentist during procedures requires steady hands and good hand-eye coordination. Empathy and patience came into play when dealing with anxious or uncomfortable patients. A compassionate and patient approach is key.
Teamwork is another important skill. Collaborating effectively with the dental team ensures smooth operations and quality patient care. Technical skills are necessary as well. Being familiar with dental software systems like SFD and R4, and being able to assist in various dental procedures, is essential.

I worked at a takeaway for 6 months. I helped to prepare the food and take orders and that gave me excellent team management skills and I acknowledged how all different types of customers are and how to deal with them in various of different situations.
